The Lord Jesus instituted Communion on the night before He died and He also practiced it on His resurrection day with two of His disciples. Communion is a beautiful illustration of the mystery of our Faith – Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Through communion we are brought into focus and fellowship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit as we remember what God did to restore us to Himself and that the main point of our coming together as a Church is to meet with Him!
Calvary Chapel of Leesburg celebrates communion at least once per month, usually on the 1st Sunday of the Month.
‚Äč1Co 10:16-17 Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.
